Every year we can’t wait to see what new wedding trends are a hit.

Here’s a quick list of 4 TikTok wedding trends we are loving right now and expect to continue to see for years to come.

Opposite Assigned Seats

This trend has been super popular this year and we’re honestly obsessed with it.

Traditionally, at the wedding ceremony couples have their honored guests (parents, grandparents, etc) sit on the exact same side as they stand.

For example, if a bride is standing on the left her family traditionally would be seated on the left as well.

Not anymore.

Couples are FLIPPING this tradition and having their family sit OPPOSITE of the side they will be standing on for the ceremony.

This allows parents and grandparents to have the best view of the face of their family member getting married!

This modern wedding trend is creating a personalized wedding ceremony experience that highlights the most meaningful moments of the wedding day.

Join Your Guests For Social Hour

This trend only works for couples that are going to have a first look earlier in the day prior to the ceremony. Otherwise, the couple is likely going to be too busy with wedding photos to make this one work.

Instead of being formally announced into dinner, couples are selecting to have their formal introduction into social hour.

Then, they are just flowing into dinner casually with the rest of their guests.

If you choose to join your guests for social hour:

  • At the end of your wedding ceremony have your officiant announce that you will be joining social hour shortly and will be formally announced as a couple for the first time upon your arrival to the social hour.

  • Following your wedding ceremony have your photographer steal you away for a few photos. Then promptly join your guests for a fun filled social hour!

We found that your wedding coordinator, dj, and photographer are essential for helping with guest management and the flow of this dreamy fun experience.

Just one more reason to have the dream team of vendors on your wedding day helping you every step of the way.

Details, Details, Details

Modern wedding attire for the couple is all about the details.

Whether you love intricate detailing on your dress and/or veil OR love a simple highly detailed signature accent…modern wedding fashion is absolutely detail focused.

Couples are focusing on stunning signature looks for their ceremony AND also creating incredible 2nd, 3rd, & even 4th looks for their wedding event experience.

Here’s where we typically see each look appear:

  • Look 1 - Venue Arrival / Getting Ready

  • Look 2 - First Looks / Ceremony / Social Hour / Dinner

  • Look 3 - Dance / Reception

  • Look 4 - Going Away

Modern couples are taking advantage of the unique ways they can show off their personality through multiple wedding day looks.

And for the couples that love simplicity - they’re confidently embracing it and going all in on one signature detailed look.
