Job Description


The Legacy Hosts are our “meet-and-greet” care team.  Arriving at a new location with no clue where to go can be overwhelming for people.  You will warmly welcome guests and vendors. Your job is to ensure everyone entering the property is well informed and taken care of.


You will manage and make sure all Legacy Hill Farm (LHF) spaces are clean, presentable and ready for guests.  You will be proactive in anticipating and attending to guests needs and uphold high standard of customer service excellence every step of the way. You are the positive, the calm and the ease of the day. You will get everything for the event off on a great start!


Shifts are seasonal (April-November).  They are typically 2-5 hour early morning/afternoon shifts on Thursdays-Sundays when events are scheduled. You’ll be on rotation with the Legacy Hosts, and you should be able to work 5-25 hours per week.



  • Manage all spaces and ensure they are clean and ready for the guests to arrive

  • Welcome and direct early guests (wedding party, bride/groom, family, etc.) to parking and venue areas of interest

  • Welcome and direct vendors to their appropriate spaces for setup and venue areas of interest

  • Anticipate guests needs and potential questions in advance and look for opportunities to surprise and exceed their expectations of service

  • Ask guests if they have any questions and provide them with helpful information or advice for enjoying their time at LHF --  if needed, connect them to the appropriate LHF team member

  • Ensure restrooms remain clean and stocked with supplies throughout the day

  • Pick up trash and empty trash cans throughout the property throughout the day

  • Sweep floors and organize furniture at the bar and patio if lunch is served in this space

  • Be knowledgeable of LHF alcohol, smoking and venue rules

  • Report all property, facility, and equipment issues and elevate to management or security

  • Be professional in all interactions with LHF team, guests, and vendors

  • Attend and participate in your assigned LHF team meetings and events

  • Communicate with your supervisor in advance about your schedule and time-off requests; In case of emergencies or sick days, contact your supervisor immediately and coordinate a coworker substitute to cover your event as needed

  • Embrace and model the LHF values

  • Exercise discretion at all times

  • Other duties as assigned


Minimum Qualifications

  • General knowledge of related hospitality, customer service, and cleaning tasks

  • 1+ years work experience in guest/customer service, hospitality, maintenance, and/or cleaning

  • Preferred: High school diploma or equivalent experience

  • Must be extremely detail-oriented

  • Must have excellent communication skills and top-notch customer service approach

  • Must be friendly, courteous and welcoming to guests throughout the day

  • Must be able to direct and lead others

  • Be highly personable and demonstrate a guest-first service approach to interactions with people

  • Able to safely engage in physical labor (stand, walk, bend, squat, lift etc.) for 2-5 hour shifts

  • Able to lift up to 35 lbs.

  • Be positive and confident

  • Must maintain a professional appearance and follow the Legacy Hill Farm attire guidelines

  • Must be on time

  • Must have reliable transportation

  • Must be able to work seasonally from April-November

  • Must have availability to work a combination or specific category of: weekdays, weekends, mornings, afternoons and/or some holidays

  • Hours are dependent on events scheduled and what’s needed; Shifts range from 2-5 hours
